Why are we liberals/progressives always at the mercy of conservatives -- always the f-ing conservatives -- and never getting our big victories?
We don't get our unfunded Iraq wars of choice.
We don't get our donut hole insurance industry UNFUNDED trillion dollar giveaways to industry insiders that add to the deficit (oh my god the holy deficits that are suddenly so sacrosanct now that we want health reform!).
We don't get to gut the EPA, the SEC, FEMA, Agriculture, UN... and have them all collapse and get away with it.
We don't get to run up annual budget surpluses to annual deficits of $12 Trillion and not get blamed.
We don't get to triple the national debt and not get blamed and have nobody notice.
We don't get our $2+ trillion tax cut to the wealthiest 2% of Americans.
We don't get our deregulation of the financial industry that made millionaires into billionaires with money now held as debt by the U.S. Treasury by the CFMA of 2000 pushed through by a Republican Congress.
